You may request correction of an error in a copyright registration by filing an application for supplementary registration.
A supplementary registration cannot be used to change certain kinds of things. Types of things that cannot be changed by supplementary registration include:
- Copyright Office annotations;
- Ownership information;
- Date of publication for a work that was registered as an unpublished work;
- Errors or omissions in the deposit copy;
- Cancellation or abandonment of the registration;
- Challenges to the validity of the registration.
